Xtream IPTV Player Apps: Which One to Install

A straight answer for each screen in your home, what every app calls the login fields, and fixes for the errors people run into most.

Updated September 15, 2026 · Compiled by the Xtreme HD IPTV support desk

Player app vs subscription: the two parts you need

Think of an IPTV setup like music streaming on a speaker. The player app is the speaker: it has buttons, a guide and a search bar, but nothing to play on its own. The subscription is the music library. An Xtream IPTV player connects the two with a login made of a server address, a username and a password, a format known as the Xtream Codes API.

That is why dozens of different apps work with the same account, and why store listings named “Xtream IPTV Player” never come with channels. Once you have a plan from Xtreme HD IPTV, the login arrives by message shortly after ordering, and you can use it in whichever app you like below.

The main apps, in plain terms

TiviMate

Android TV · Fire TV · Free with paid Premium

Feels closest to a cable box: a grid guide, fast zapping and a layout designed for a remote control. The free tier is fine for trying it out, but Premium unlocks on-demand content, favorites, recordings and more than one playlist. There is no iPhone version.

IPTV Smarters Pro

Fire TV · Android · Free

A household name in IPTV with separate tiles for live TV, movies and series. Google Play no longer lists it, so it goes on through the Downloader app. Lookalike apps with almost the same name are common, so only use the download code from our setup guide.

XCIPTV

Android · Fire TV · Free

Small, quick and built specifically for Xtream Codes accounts. When an older Android box feels sluggish with bigger apps, XCIPTV is usually the fix.

IBO Player

Samsung · LG · Trial, then activation fee

Smart TVs cannot install Android apps, so this is the usual route. The app shows a device ID on screen; you add your account details against that ID on the IBO Player website and the TV picks them up. A one-time fee applies once the trial ends.

Smart IPTV (SSIPTV)

Samsung · LG · Trial, then activation fee

A long-standing smart TV app that reads an M3U playlist linked to your TV's MAC address. Dependable for live channels, clumsier for movies and series.

UHF, IPTVX, Smarters Player Lite & iPlayTV

Apple devices

On iPhone and iPad, UHF – Love Your IPTV is our first suggestion for its clean design, with IPTVX as a polished alternative. Smarters Player Lite is the free Apple edition of Smarters, and iPlayTV is a paid option many Apple TV owners prefer.

Seeing several apps literally named “Xtream IPTV Player” in the Google Play, App, Microsoft or Roku stores? They come from different developers and are players only. Stick to official stores, check recent ratings, and never pay an app developer for channels.

Where your login goes in each app

Every app asks for the same three details, but the menus use different words. Match your app below.

  1. Keep your activation message open and copy each value instead of retyping it.
  2. Paste the full server address, starting with http:// and ending with the port number when one is given.
  3. Give the first load a minute. Large line-ups, the movie library and the TV guide all download on the first sign-in.
  4. Update the guide from the app's settings if program listings look empty afterwards.

Using a Fire TV Stick? The Fire TV section of our setup guide covers enabling apps from unknown sources and the exact Downloader codes.

Xtream Codes or M3U: which format to use

Pick the Xtream Codes option whenever an app offers it. It keeps live channels, movies and series in their own sections, updates itself when the line-up changes and tends to line up better with the TV guide.

An M3U link packs every channel into one long web address. It exists for apps that cannot use Xtream Codes, including VLC, Smart IPTV and most Roku players. Support will send you an M3U link on request.

Skip the “free Xtream codes” sites

Pages that post free logins tend to recycle accounts that belong to someone else, so they die without notice, and their download buttons are a well-known route for malware onto streaming sticks. Testing with a trial from an actual provider costs nothing and keeps your device clean.

Player app questions

Do Xtream IPTV player apps cost money?

Several are free, including IPTV Smarters Pro and XCIPTV. TiviMate is free with an optional paid Premium tier. Smart TV apps such as IBO Player and Smart IPTV normally run a trial and then charge a one-time activation fee.

Why does the player app have no channels after installing?

Because a player is only software. Channels, movies and series come from a subscription, which gives you the server URL, username and password that the app needs before anything appears.

What does Xtream Codes API actually mean?

It is a login format. Instead of one long playlist link, you enter a server address, username and password, and the app downloads live TV, movies, series and the TV guide into separate sections.

Which player works best on a Fire TV Stick?

TiviMate is our first recommendation for Fire TV if you mainly watch live TV, because its guide feels like a cable box. IPTV Smarters Pro is a simple free alternative that supports Xtream Codes logins.

Can one Xtreme HD IPTV login be used in different apps?

Yes. The same login works in any compatible player, so the TV can run TiviMate while a phone uses UHF or IPTV Smarters. Your plan decides how many screens can play at the same time, from 1 to 5.

What should I check when the app rejects my login?

Look for a trailing space after the password, a server address missing http:// or its port number, and swapped username and password fields. Copy the details again from your activation message, and contact support if it still fails.

Your app is ready. Now add the channels.

Order on WhatsApp and paste your new login into the player you picked.
